Immer wieder in verschiedenen, teils limitierten Duftrichtungen.

Also, was kommt rein?

Wenn ja, was? Verratet mir eure Lieblingsrezepte! In diesem Sinne einen schönen Sonntag.

You can definitely say I’m a little junkie when it comes to thing that have a good smell. I love everything that comes with a good scent. Today I want to show you a few of my favourite body care tips and products. Including a DIY recipe for a body scrub. A must have for my body care is oil, of course. I love it for my hair and skin care. But if you apply oil on dry skin it will have no nurturing effect. You need to use it on wet skin, right after you took a shower. If you do so it leaves your skin soft and smooth. You just need to dry it with a towel and you’re done. No need to wait until it sinks into your skin. For me cocnut or almond oil are working best.

Beside this there are countless ready to use products. I just want to quickly tell you what I like most. On the one hand there are Alverde products. I especially love the so called body butters from them. They have them in different limited editions, smelling different each time. But my favourite, the one I’m always using is the macadamia nut edition. This one is always available.

Beside Alverde I love Body Shop products. Those body butters are my absolute favourites. Right now I’m using the papaya version – and not for the first time. I definitely don’t like all the smells they have, but luckily you can try each of them in the shop. I try to have only one bottle at home – but never less. They also sell so called smoothies. I also really adore those. They feel so different than a regular body lotion and they are so light and sink into your skin super quickly.

And, as already mentioned I’m also a huge fan of peelings. But I often feel like they are too expensive. This is why I’m showing you my favourite recipe for a DIY body scrub. I do this really often and still love it. To see how I do it watch the video above.

But quick summary:

You need something to scrub your skin. For this you can use loose coffee or sea salt which is rougher. I prefer to use sugar. This feels better on my skin. And you need an oil, or even several oils. I prefer to mix them just like I want. I’m using at least one oil which is solid at room temperature because this makes such a special texutre. For example babassu or cocnut oil. You could say everything else is optional, but I really like to add those. For example lemon juice o lime juice. It additionally cleans your skin and has an antiseptic effect. And I like the slightly sour smell this creates. If you are vegan you can just skip this, but I personally like to use honey. My hair loves it and my skin, too.

I’m not giving you exact measurements for the ingredients, I mix them rather free. Just like I feel to do. I melt the oil carefully, add the other oils, lemon juice and honey. Then I fill it up with sugar until it has a pasty texture. Do not use too many liquid ingredients as the amount doubles when you add the sugar. Put into a jar and let it cool. Now just use it in the shower, massage into your skin and rinse it off. Because of all the oils you can leave out any further creme for your skin. The body scrub leaves your skin soft and smooth. Frangrances are optional. You can also use an oil like the monoi cocnut oil because it has a special scent on its own.

Now I’m at the end of this little body care post. You want me to introduce something in more detail? Just let me know. What are your favourite tips and products? You also like to do body care yourself? Let me know your favourite recipes!
