Every time I braid on someone else I try to do a hairstyle which is difficult or impossible to do on my own hair. I already told you this after our meeting in may and also showed you some examples. Especially those lace-braid kind of hairstyles where the braid is winding over the hair. Because of this my big wish from Heike (beside the three strand pull through) wassome braiding like this. And because I had my new ribbons with me I thought a flat four strand braid with one of them would be great. So I stood still and let her do the braiding.Four Strand Ribbon Lace Braid

The result was not as expectes, but still beautiful. My goal when I do a braid like this  is to have all the hair incorporated in the braid at the end. So it looks like a half up, but no hair is left open. The hardest part is to distribute the hair evenly so there is enough until the end and nothing left when you get there. When Heike finished she said „I underestimated your hair“. Because there was still a lot of hair unbraided. I still think it is a beautiful half-up. And as you can see the ribbon was too long and I put the remaining ribbon in my backpocket. It looks beautiful when I lean to the side with this braid, but this way you can see this little detail 😉
