I wanted to try this hairstyle called the stacked braids for a long time. It’s about braiding one braid over another. Maybe you have seen this technique with Heike recently. The last time I had the feeling of seeing this braid everywhere on the internet and so it had to be now that I try it.

Here you see my first attempt on this brais, far away from perfect. But I did go out with it and got some nice comments on it. Technically you braid a normal braid and leave a small piece of hair out in every round. Out of this hair you make the upper braid. I did an dutch braid first and then a small fishtail braid on top. I like the thick dutch braid  combined with the delicate fishtail.

You can see one mistake, I made one part of hair to big, close to my neck. There the fishtail gets really big, almost to big. I would prefer it to be a little smaller. While I was braiding I thought I would never do this one again as it was rather hard to do, but in the end I really liked it. So maybe I will try it again someday.

Did you try this one already? Which types of braids would you combine?
